Questions?

If you have any questions please ask them here in the comments.

Q6: I don’t know the name of the tree. Can I still participate?
A: Yes you can. I am certain that by the end of the year we will know what kind of tree it is.

Q5: Someone would like to participate but doesn’t speak English?
A: Photos or pictures can talk for themselves. All I would like to know is, where they are from, first name and blog address.

Q4: I won’t be able to observe a tree every day or every week this year – so I can’t participate.
A: I’d still love you to participate. It absolutely doesn’t matter how often you can check on your tree. Just do what’s possible and we’ll all be happy to see what you can contribute. Also check out Q1!

Q3: I don’t have a blog – how can I participate?
A: Whatever you like best:
I) take it as a start for your own blog
II) share on Facebook and I will put it on the blog
III) participate on this blog – I’ll make you author to this blog, all I need is your e-mail address.

Q2: I live in an country where trees look the same all year long – how can I participate?
A: The project is not only about the tree but also about everything that lives on it (e.g. bugs and other plants) and visits it (birds) and even the ground where it stands on and the heaven above.

Q1: I’m traveling a lot and I can’t observe a tree for a whole year, what can I do?
A: Just change the project idea that it fits you. Pick a tree species and observe that kind of tree wherever you are or pick the tree that you see – wherever you are – when you look out of your window and describe what you see for the time there. I’m sure there are more possibilities.

When I write a new post about my tree do i need to submit it here somewhere? Or on Twitter/Facebook?
Sorry, I’m not sure how it all comes together 🙂

Mo, that’s a perfect question. I’m still not sure either what would be the best way…
Let me know somehow and I’ll post it here. But maybe someone has a better idea. Ideas anyone?

Could you put contributors on the blog roll then show date of last post? Not sure how this works in WordPress. I’m guessing those without Blogs will update via Facebook/Twitter?
I know some will follow individual blogs but it would be nice to see it all in one place without having to ‘follow’ everybody, if that makes sense?

do @mentions on twitter work? I’m a new blogger, as well as an active facebook participant, and can go either route, but am curious about tweeting my observations.

    • dreamfalcon says:

      twitter is a possibility, sure.
not everyone has a twitter account thought and so some will not see your observations.
for twitter messages please use the hashtag #treeyear
