Weather conditions for the trees

The first six weeks of this year brought some strange weather in lots of places.

Check out the posts of Tansy and her Cedar – snow and ice make some nice photos (Feb 1)!  The Persimmon of Marvin was also suffering from freezing rain but got some blue sky as well (Feb 6). Most of the birds on the snowy Dogwood of Sherry vanish in the white and gray but the Northern Cardinal makes a nice color contrast (Jan 29). There is also the red of the Sumac berries covered in snow in Rebecca’s post (Jan 27). And Jen’s tree is totally gone for the moment  (Feb 7).

But don’t worry, there are places with no snow – for dust and dry weather check out Nicole’s post of her Mesquite in Kuwait.

The ice will melt and this will bring back the colors – like here on a frozen lake in Switzerland.
